At Hen Scratch Acres, we specialize in offering Rare, Purebred, and down-right Unique breeds. Crested breeds, feathered leg breeds, and colorful birds. We also have chickens that lay a rainbow of different colored eggs. These are not your common chickens !

Brabanters

We also have Tiny breeds like The Bantam Cochins and Silkies.
Many of our breeds are hard to find. Only a few dedicated breeders have them. We have raised chickens for many years. We recently decided to concentrate on rare, endangered, and unique breeds.
All of our chickens have been purchased from individual breeders. None have come from hatcheries or stores.
Lets talk about Jewelry:
We offer many one of a kind & unique pieces that are all handcrafted! Some of our unique creations are made by using animal hairs and/or hides, such as: Bear, Bobcat, Buffalo, Cow, Coyote, Deer, Elk, Goat, Horses, Mink, Moose, Rabbit. Many times, you will see items like porcupine quills that make beautiful jewelry! Believe it or not, even animal bones and teeth can make and unique statement piece of Jewelry. Remember at Texas Girl Designs our jewelry is highly influenced by both the western and southwestern styles. We incorporate as many of nature's gifts as we can use!
